Tony decided to get rid Mikey Palmice in order to cut Junior's ability of attempting another hit on him. Mikey Palmice was killed after being chased down and shot by Chris and Paulie in the woods while he was out jogging.

After Tony confirmed Pussy was a rat he had Pussy meet him on the pretense of checking out a new boat. Tony, Silvio and Paulie confronted their former friend once they got out to sea and got him to admit that he had informed on them. All three of them regretabally opened fire and killed him then bagged him up, weighed him down and threw him overboard.

Richie Aprile

Richie Aprile was murdered by his fiancee, Janice Soprano, after he punches her in the mouth. Tony orders Christopher and Furio dispose of the body at Satriale's, using the meat cutter and knives to dismember the body. The official reason Tony gives for his dissapearance is that Richie was an FBI Informant and went into the Witness Protection Program.

Jackie succumbed to cancer in 1999. A power struggle between Junior Soprano and his nephew Tony Soprano ensued.

Ralph's son was hospitalized following a serious injury in 2003. Soon after Pie-O-My was killed in a stable fire which Tony believes Ralph was responsible for. Ralph was unexpectedly strangled and killed by a furious Tony after refusing to confess, yet defending the act of setting a fire to collect the insurance money on the horse to pay the hospital bills, suggesting that he may have been responsible.

Pat owns a farm in Kinderhook, Upstate New York that his nephews used to visit in the summers of their youth. Several bodies were buried on the farm - Tony, Tony B and Chris dug them up and moved them in 2004 after Pat decied to sell the farm and move to Florida.

In 2004, Benny was seriously injured by New York capo Phil Leotardo. The crisis brought on by Tony Blundetto was reaching a head and Phil severely beat Benny to send a message to Tony. Phil knew of Benny's friendship with Chris and position as driver to Tony. Tony, feeling guilty about Benny's fractured skull, offered to get him "made" once he recovered.

However, Blundetto gradually became more and more frustrated and returned to crime. He then became entangled in a power struggle witin the Lupertazzi family. This resulted in him tracking down the Leotardo brothers and killing Billy.

With the heavy losses that the Aprile crew has suffered, Eugene's star has risen considerably. After the deaths of two captains and the disappearance of Ralph Cifaretto, Vito Spatafore assumed control of the crew and Eugene became his second-in-command.

Patsy continued working for the family, under Paulie Walnuts. Patsy was one of the people dissatisfied with Tony Soprano protecting his cousin Tony Blundetto from Phil Leotardo, putting the entire family in jeopardy.

Tony B. and Chris are sent to Uncle Pat's farm to dig up the remains of Emil Kolar after Pat decides to sell his farm. Chris is reminded of his bad childhood and how he was bullied by Tony B. and Tony. Chris maintained a turbulent relationship with Adriana, however, after he learned that she was an FBI informant, he turned to Tony rather than accept her plea to join her. Tony sent Silvio to execute her. Chris later relapsed into heroin use.

Feech was released from prison got back in action, he requested his executive card game back from Tony. Tony agreed on the condition that Feech not step on anybody's toes. Feech soon got into trouble after a dispute with Paulie and the theft of several cars, Tony realized that Feech still thought of him as a kid, and therefore did not believe he owed him the respect of the boss. He knew this was dangerous and had dealt with it before with Richie Aprile.

Gervasi was promoted to captain of Jimmy Altieri's old crew. He ran the Bloomfield Avenue casino, and was involved in and/or in charge of the family's dealings with the port hijackings.

After the death of Ralph, Vito took command of the crew. He continued working on the family investment in a riverfront property called the Esplanade. Vito was also shown spreading dissent as the Tony Blundetto crisis with New York came to a head, stating that if Tony retaliated against New York, the Captains should remove him from his role as Boss.

Bobby was promoted to Acting Capo of Junior's crew after Murf Lupo displayed signs of mental and physical enfeeblement that affected his capacity to run the crew's business. He also lost his wife in a car accident and took it especially hard. Despite Bobby's initial reluctance, he began seeing Janice Soprano and eventually married her.

Chris and Paulie's bad blood resurfaces when Chris embarrasses Paulie in front of the Capos with the "Pine Barrens" story, stating that Paulie was the cause of the foul up. This caused much tension but they "bury the hatchet". Paulie also got into a dispute with Feech La Manna over their rival landscaping companies. They both resort to violently assaulting the other's gardeners. This serves to highlight Feech's insubordination.

Tony discovered that his father, Hesh and Phil Leotardo had been co-owners of a racetrack and that his father had promised a share to his goomar: Fran Felstein. Tony arranged a sitdown with Phil and Hesh to secure the share which they reluctantly gave up.

After New York family boss Carmine Lupertazzi dies from a stroke, A power struggle ensues involving Johnny Sack and Little Carmine. Tony wished to remain neutral, but after Tony B, without Soprano's knowledge, kills two members of Johnny Sack's crew (Joe Peeps and Billy Leotardo) it puts Tony in a difficult position. Johnny Sack becomes boss and demands that Tony give up Tony B or else risk war. Tony refused and this decision caused much tension within his own family and his leadership skills come into question.
