Richie was a capo before being sent to prison for ten years. While Richie was in prison, Jackie died and upon his release, Richie came back to a very different organisation with Tony Soprano as the boss.
An original gangster who was made in Italy, Feech came over to America in the 1950s and settled in New Jersey where he became involved with the DiMeo crime family with Ercoli 'Eckley' DiMeo. In 1984 he was convicted of criminal charges and began serving a twenty year sentence.

Jackie was a close friend and contemporary of Tony Soprano and they came up through the ranks of the DiMeo Crime Family together. Jackie was the brother of DiMeo family Capo Richie Aprile. Jackie and Tony, along with Silvio Dante and Ralph Cifaretto were in a minor-league crew as kids. In the mid-1990s, Jackie's success continued as he assumed more and more responsibilities while Ercoli 'Eckley' DiMeo went on trial.
Junior is Tony Soprano's uncle: Junior's younger brother was Giovanni "Johnny Boy" Soprano, Tony's father. Following the arrest of DiMeo family boss Eckley DiMeo in late 1995, Junior got into a trucking dispute with Jackie Aprile. He fled to Boca Raton to avoid any repercussions but his nephew, Tony arranged a sit down to solve the problem.
When Tony's father died in 1986, Tony was still a soldier under his father. Soldiers from Johnny Boy's crew, Salvatore "Big Pussy" Bonpensiero and Paulie "Walnuts" Gualtieri, passed their loyalty on to Tony, and he became capo of his father's old crew. Old friend Silvio Dante joined him in the group.

DiMeo ran the family from sometime in the late 1950s or early 1960s up until he received a sentence of life imprisonment in 1997 which he currently serving in a high security United States Prison in Springfield, Illinois.
